Description: The Alexander Technique is a self-help discipline that teaches us to recognize and change harmful patterns in our every day movement. Badmovement patterns are a leading cause of chronic back/neck pain and the Alexander Technique is clinically proven to reduce such pain. It is often”how” we move that is the problem, not the task itself. The Techniquecan be applied to any task, such as standing, lifting, walking and working at a desk. The Pine Hill Community Center is pleased to offer a Workshop in the Alexander Technique on Saturday January 21, 2012 from 11:00am to 12:30 pm. The Workshop is led by Victoria Quesada, a part-timeCatskill Mountain resident and a nationally certified teacher of the Alexander Technique.
