Catskill Cabaradio, the area’s favorite event, will celebrate its twenty-fifth broadcast on December 8th with a stellar lineup that includes storyteller Joan Henry, singer Kyle Esposito, poet Sharon Rutenik, Karen and Jake Fairbairn from Lazy Crazy Acres, Elly Wininger and The Pine Hill Playboys, and, of course, everyone’s favorite mom, Dorothy Greenberg will be on hand with advice that “Your Mother Should Know.” There will be prizes for the correct answers to maddeningly difficult trivia questions and special raffle prizes. If you absolutely can’t be there, but have a burning question, email it to yourmothershouldknow@catskillradio.org
The free evening begins with a pot luck supper at 6:00pm Then promptly at 7:00, house lights dim and the broadcast begins. A Prairie Home Companion meets David Letterman meets Hee Haw extravaganza not to be missed, but if you must, tune in live at www.wioxradio.org or 91.3 FM WIOX in Roxbury.
Four times a year Catskill Cabaradio brings a veritable Who’s Who of well known area residents to local and international audiences with its free variety show. In addition to the live studio version, which draws a large community audience, the show is streamed on line to the world (www.catskillradio.org) and simulcast on WIOX 91.3 FM, Roxbury NY. A highly entertaining evening for all ages, each Cabaradio is an important outreach and awareness building event for the Pine Hill Community Center where Cabaradio is produced by a group of dedicated volunteers with support from the Pine Hill Community Center and individual donors. There is no admission charge.
It is truly a treat to be in the house for the show, but if you can’t be there, then make sure to tune in at 7:00pm at www.catskillradio.org or www.wioxradio.org. One way or the other, you won’t want to miss this show! You can email questions for “Your Mother Should Know” to yourmothershouldknow@catskillradio.org
