Pine Hill Community Center, 287 Main Street, Pine Hill NY
Catskill Cabaradio, our own live broadcast variety show comes to you on Saturday, June 13th.
This signature quarterly event is always worth waiting for. We begin at 6 with a community potluck — always outstanding — and at 7 the lights go down and the live radio broadcast begins. You can listen to it on WIOX community radio at 91.3 FM, or streaming on wioxradio.org, but as good as radio gets, and as proud as we are of this listening option, there’s nothing like being in the audience and getting to answer the trivia questions, respond to the “Applause” signs and watch the sound effects being produced. Let’s face it, live entertainment is the best, and the lineup on the 13th is stellar:
- Chase Kruppo, beekeeper (brush up on your trivia facts about bees and honey);
- storyteller Ann Epner;
- Justin Kolb, one of the founders of the Phoenicia Festival of the Voice;
- singers Libby Sokolowski and Andrew Hoben from the PFoV mentoring program;;
- the Hudson Valley duo Open Book (Rick Gedney and Michele Rubin);
- and of course Elly Wininger, the Pine Hill Playboys, and Dave Kearney.
Other guests may put in an appearance, and altogether, it will be a great evening! And it’s free!
Four times a year Catskill Cabaradio brings a veritable Who’s Who of well known area residents to local and international audiences with its free variety show. In addition to the live studio version, which draws a large community audience, the show is streamed on line to the world (www.wioxradio.org) and simulcast on WIOX 91.3 FM, Roxbury NY. A highly entertaining evening for all ages, each Cabaradio is an important outreach and awareness building event for the Pine Hill Community Center where Cabaradio is produced by a group of dedicated volunteers with support from the Pine Hill Community Center and individual donors. There is no admission charge.
It is truly a treat to be in the house for the show, but if you can’t be there, then make sure to tune in at 7:00pm at www.catskillradio.org or www.wioxradio.org. One way or the other, you won’t want to miss this show!
