Saturday, December 14th the Pine Hill Community Center presents Catskill Cabaradio, a complete evening of live radio with music by Kurt Henry & Cheryl Lambert, Elly Wininger, The Pine Hill Playboys and others. There will be poetry by Iris Cushing, an interview with Thayer Case and Barbara Rissman of Maverick Mental Health, and stories told by Jack Maguire. “Your Mother Should Know” returns with everyone’s favorite mother, Dorothy Greenberg, and of course, there will be plenty of raffle prizes you will want to win, including a gift certificate for the Ate-O-Ate food truck and to Spillian, a new retreat center in Fleischmanns. If you absolutely can’t be here in person, but have a burning question for your mother, email it to firstname.lastname@example.org
The evening begins with a pot luck supper at 6:00 pm. Please bring a dish to share. Then promptly at 7:00, house lights dim, and you become the live studio audience as the broadcast over WIOX Community Radio begins. This free, family friendly evening is not to be missed, but if you must be elsewhere, tune in live at www.wioxradio.org or 91.3 FM WIOX in Roxbury.
Four times a year Catskill Cabaradio brings a veritable Who’s Who of well known area residents to local and international audiences with its free variety show. In addition to the live studio version, which draws a large community audience, the show is streamed on line to the world (www.catskillradio.org) and simulcast on WIOX 91.3 FM, Roxbury NY. A highly entertaining evening for all ages, each Cabaradio is an important outreach and awareness building event for the Pine Hill Community Center where Cabaradio is produced by a group of dedicated volunteers with support from the Pine Hill Community Center and individual donors. There is no admission charge.
It is truly a treat to be in the house for the show, but if you can’t be there, then make sure to tune in at 7:00pm at www.catskillradio.org or www.wioxradio.org. One way or the other, you won’t want to miss this show! You can email questions for “Your Mother Should Know” to email@example.com
